DIABETES

 Diabetes is an insulin deficiency that result in high – blood sugar. Insulin secreted by the beta cells of Islets of Langerhans; Helps regulate the metabolism of carbohydrates, protein and fats, Lower blood glucose. Carbohydrates and fats are the Body’s primary fuel.

                 PANCREAS     

 Is a long , slender organ that  lies transversely across the upper abdomen. Pancreas 

secretes two hormones, insulin and glucagon. Pancreas: is a mix gland of “ENDOCRINE + EXOCRINE”  in nature. Has two keys function: Digestion and blood sugar regulation, Exocrine function help digestion, Endocrine  function help regulation blood sugar. Endocrine gland

secreted insulin and glucagon also called hormones regulate the level of glucose in blood. The protein are used primarily in synthesis of many vital substances, such as hormones, enzymes, antibodies, plasma proteins and structural components of cells. Metabolism refers to the million of chemical reaction that make the body run. The anabolic reaction are involved in build up, or synthesis of complex substances from simpler substances. Catabolic reaction break down complex substances into simpler substances, generally is an effort to liberate energy stored within the food substances.
